Construction Law

Like no other field, construction law requires an understanding of not only the law, but also of construction techniques, customs, and practices. Our attorneys have represented nearly every variety of construction industry professionals as well as owners and even governmental agencies, including general contractors, roofing contractors, electrical contractors, architects, engineers, material suppliers, manufacturers, developers, and insurance companies. We have represented contractors in licensing matters with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation and investigations by the Florida Attorney General. We represent contractors and owners alike in every facet of the construction process, from site selection, through the bid process and contract negotiation and on to production and post-construction warranty claims. We’ve litigated construction cases involving numerous defendants, construction defects ranging from punch list items to nine-figure claims, from small renovation jobs to regionally-significant projects. Our attorneys also serve as outside general counsel to many construction industry firms, advising them on licensing, contracting, employment, insurance, and general business matters.
